She has been affiliated with FSN/Hope as a parent, mentor, served on the board of directors, and as an officer for 20 years! Her son has several diagnosis. Deidra is passionate about finding and sharing resources with those in her community. She started bowling league for kids/adults with special needs. Helps with several local support groups (one autism and one TBI), she has helped with Catawba County Special Olympics serving as Coach, chaperone, and area local coordinator. She helps with walk-in roll activities league as well. She has also and still works as a direct support professional/habilitation technician for over 15 years with several local companies. And has worked with many various kids and adults with lots of different diagnoses.
